Project Manager

Job Description: Technology Project Manager (Defence Microsoft / Windows 365 Program)

• Location: Canberra
• Start Date: August 2026
• Clearance: NV1 required
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 3 days in office). Canberra-based or relocation required.
• Salary Guide: $150K–$170K+ base (flex depending on experience)

Role Overview
This role sits within a consulting-led delivery environment supporting a Defence client. You will lead the delivery of enterprise technology transformation programs, including large-scale cloud, modern workplace, and infrastructure rollout initiatives.

The focus is on delivering complex end-user computing and enterprise platform solutions (e.g. Microsoft-based environments such as cloud desktop, collaboration tools, identity, and productivity platforms) alongside systems integration and release management activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Windows 365 and Microsoft cloud desktop / endpoint solutions in Defence environments
• Manage systems integration activities across multiple platforms, applications, and vendors
• Oversee release management, including deployment planning, coordination, and governance
• Define and manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and delivery plans
• Coordinate cross-functional technical and business teams in secure environments
• Engage Defence stakeholders and ensure alignment to operational and security requirements
• Run Agile ceremonies and support hybrid delivery approaches
• Manage backlog, requirements, and delivery prioritisation
• Provide clear reporting, governance, and executive-level updates

What You Bring

• Proven experience delivering Microsoft environments (Windows 365, M365, Azure)
• Strong Defence or secure government delivery experience
• Experience in systems integration and enterprise release management
• Strong understanding of endpoint / desktop modernisation programs
• Ability to operate across Agile and traditional delivery environments
• Strong stakeholder management across complex, multi-vendor programs
• Experience leading delivery teams in structured environments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (preferred)
• 5+ years’ experience in project or program delivery roles
• Experience in Microsoft rollout / desktop transformation programs
• Defence or government project experience essential
• Certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Microsoft certifications) highly regarded
